[08-14-2022] San Diego County, CA- 28-year-old Woman Killed after being hit by SUV Driver in El Cajon

According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV driver struck a 28-year-old El Cajon woman while crossing a street in Bosnia’s unincorporated community near El Cajon early Sunday, August 14, 2022.

A CHP Sergeant stated that shortly before 1:30 a.m., a 20-year-old man struck him while driving east on East Bradley Avenue in a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. The woman died before being transported to the hospital.

The driver was not injured and came to a complete stop following the collision. He stayed at the scene to speak with investigators.

The accident is still being investigated, but officials do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role.

According to a man who identified himself as the victim’s boyfriend, he followed her on the road when an SUV hit her. According to witnesses, the area of East Bradley was very dark.
