According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on an off-ramp for the Terminal Island Freeway Wednesday night, October 5, 2022.
CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said the crash occurred at 12:09 a.m. at the interchange from State Route 103 to westbound Pacific Coast Highway.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol arrived on the scene to find out that a vehicle had struck the victim.
At the scene, the victim’s death was confirmed by medical personnel.
The deceased person’s name was not immediately made public after their passing.
There was no other information that could be obtained at this time.
