According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and was struck by an oncoming vehicle in Cajon Pass on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
The collision occurred around 4:21 am. just after the Kenwood Avenue exit, northbound I-15.
The California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the collision involving a red Nissan Sentra and an unidentified motorcycle.
The motorcyclist lost control, and the rider separated from the motorcycle as he was traveling north just after the Kenwood Avenue exit on Interstate 15.
According to a traffic incident report from the California Highway Patrol, a female driver in a Nissan was unable to fully stop in time and struck the motorcycle rider.
The motorcycle rider was fatally injured in the collision and died at the scene.
The female driver of the car did remain on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The California Highway Patrol Inland Office will be investigating the crash.
