A driver and passenger suffered severe injuries after a minivan crashed at an intersection near a freeway in Chula Vista on Sunday night, October 9, 2022.

The collision transpired around 10:25 p.m. at the intersection of East Palomar Street and the southbound exit for Interstate 805’s carpool lane.
