Authorities say a man was walking on state Route 94 when he was struck by a car and killed after a hit-and-run accident early on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
According to the local news, the collision occurred around 12:50 a.m. east of Federal Boulevard.
The pedestrian was struck while crossing the eastbound lanes of traffic.
Following the collision, the driver of the unidentified vehicle continued traveling eastbound on SR-94 without stopping.
The authorities are still awaiting the toxicology report for the deceased male.
According to CHP, it is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
The pedestrian’s identity is being withheld until family members are notified.
