[10-19-2022] Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck and Killed by Vehicle in BakersfieldAccording to the Bakersfield Police Department, a two-vehicle collision led to a pedestrian being struck and ran over and later getting killed in an intersection in Bakersfield Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

As per Bakersfield Police, the crash occurred Wednesday afternoon in the intersection of Ashe Road and District Boulevard.

After two cars collided with one another, one of the drivers swerved to avoid the collision and ran over a pedestrian who was standing on the corner, resulting in the pedestrian’s death.

According to the police, both drivers walked away from the collision unharmed and are helping authorities.

While the police continued their investigation and cleanup efforts, the intersection was closed.

At this time, the deceased individual’s name has not been made public, and it is not known who they were.

There is no information regarding what initially caused the collision. The investigation is still taking place at this time.
