[10-20-2022] Pursuit ends in Vehicle Crash Leaves Two Injuries Including a Child in Rancho CucamongaAn officer, a woman, and a child are in the hospital following a pursuit in Fontana that ended in Rancho Cucamonga on early Thursday, October 20, 2022.

The mishap happened around 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Authorities tried to stop a car that was leaving a neighborhood where there had been a lot of thefts.

While the pursuit was withheld on the 10 Freeway, the suspects allegedly threw a bicycle and other objects at police as the car took off.

The officers, the suspects, and two other cars were involved in a collision.

During the takedown, one of the officers involved in the collision suffered moderate injuries. At the same time, authorities transported the woman and a young child to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to police, three suspects fled from the vehicle before being found and taken into custody. Two of the suspects were slightly hurt.

According to the Fontana Police Department, the suspects allegedly made a U-turn at Archibald Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga before driving directly at law enforcement and other motorists.
