[10-26-2022] Unidentified Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Semi Truck in PhelanAccording to The California Highway Patrol, an unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed in Phelan Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

The crash occurred at about 8:17 p.m. on Phelan Road just east of Caughlin Road.

The California Highway Patrol was informed by two off-duty firefighters who saw the incident and reported that it was clear the pedestrian had passed away.

When San Bernardino County Fire personnel arrived, they determined that the victim had passed away.

The pedestrian’s body was covered with a yellow sheet and was located close to the shoulder of the road. The San Bernardino County Coroner was recommended to respond to the scene to retrieve the body.

Two tractor-trailer semis that were driving eastbound on Phelan Road both came to a stop at the scene of the accident.

The investigators from the CHP used a flashlight to shine some light on the front of one of the semis as part of their investigation.

The investigation is still going on at this time.
