Fatal Bicycle Crash Statistics
There has been a rise in the number of people in the United States who ride bicycles and scooters for leisure, transportation, and health reasons. Bikes on the road are afforded the same protections and are held to the same standards as motor vehicles.
However, cyclists are responsible for dealing with the aftermath of accidents. Accidents involving bicycles decreased by 50,000 in the United States in 2015. There were 12% fewer bicycle accidents in the US in 2001, but more people were killed.
According to data compiled by the National Center for Health Statistics, 712 motor vehicle accidents resulted in the deaths of motorcyclists, while 377 deaths were attributed to other causes.
Motorists routinely ignore the rights of cyclists by traveling dangerously close to them. This could cause serious injuries or even fatalities.
Irvine City Bicycle Accident Lawyers
Having a competent attorney on your side is crucial because the victim’s loved ones may be emotionally fragile and grieving after their loss. Filing a wrongful death claim is critical because it will guarantee that the deceased’s family receives compensation for all of the costs associated with the dead’s care. Lost wages, mental anguish, and physical pain from an accident are all included.
After a collision, consult a personal injury attorney as soon as possible. Regardless of how minor you think your injuries are, it would be helpful if you still had a consultation with a personal injury attorney. This will help us evaluate your claim and make a decision. Insurance will sometimes pay for medical bills, lost wages, and damaged property.
Legal representation also safeguards you against being coerced into quickly accepting an inadequate settlement offer. You should negotiate a settlement with the help of your lawyer to make sure you get compensated fairly for your injuries.
Our firm’s knowledgeable bike accident attorneys in Irvine City are skilled at securing fair compensation in these situations. We put a lot of work into proving how an irresponsible driver injured our clients and getting fair compensation for their losses.
