210 Freeway Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics

A car accident can have devastating and long-lasting effects on the victim. Because car accidents are so frequent, most people don’t give much thought to the severe risks they encounter each time they get behind the wheel.

A national emergency has been triggered by the high number of fatal car accidents in the US. In 2017, traffic accidents resulted in 33,654 fatalities and 36,560 injuries, as reported by the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) of the US Department of Transportation.

Multi-vehicle collisions are highly uncommon and almost always result in catastrophic damage.

A multi-vehicle accident is one in which there are four or more vehicles involved. Accidents involving multiple people have happened, and they don’t seem connected. This situation’s increased complexity is directly related to the many parties present.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), one-fourth of all traffic fatalities are caused by multi-vehicle accidents. Estimates place the annual death toll from such incidents at 13,000 or more.

Accidents involving multiple vehicles frequently necessitate a court appearance to determine liability. If you lose your case, there’s a chance you won’t be able to receive any compensation for your injuries. In this circumstance, you must have an experienced lawyer who focuses on auto accidents.

In a multiple-car collision, try steering into a bush or railing instead of slamming into another vehicle. After an accident, it’s critical to track down potential witnesses.
