According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, a bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle while riding through a San Jacinto intersection Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the collision happened around 11:00 a.m. at Cottonwood Avenue and Sandalwood Street.
Officials on the scene reported that an engine crew was passing the area at the time of the crash and immediately stopped to help.
The unharmed driver stayed put. It was unclear if the driver had been taken into custody.
The cyclist, whose identity was withheld by authorities, was reportedly treated by paramedics for injuries, but he refused transport to a hospital.
Sheriff’s deputies were looking into the accident.
