According to police, the van driver continued through the parking lot after the collision and sped away.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist was taken to the Desert Regional Medical Center with serious injuries but stable vital signs.

The police described the van as white and box-shaped.

It had significant collision damage to the rear of the passenger side and eventually drove away from the scene.
