[11-06-2022] 30-Year-Old Bicyclist Fatally Struck After Hit-And-Run Crash in VisaliaA hit-and-run collision caused the death of a 30-year-old bicyclist in Visalia Saturday afternoon, November 6, 2022.

The fatal crash occurred around 1:00 p.m., south of Avenue 313 and close to Avenue 144.

According to authorities, the suspect, Shay D., was driving a 2012 Mazda when it collided with the victim after hitting the cyclist. The vehicle allegedly fled southbound on Avenue 144 in the direction of Visalia.

The biker was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Officers claim that the suspect reportedly left the house on foot. The Mazda was then seized to preserve the evidence.

Currently, no warrants or charges have been issued against the suspect.

Further investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
