[11-28-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Injured After Crashing with Sheriff Patrol Unit at Fresno Intersection

One person was injured following a two-vehicle collision involving a Sheriff K9 patrol unit in Fresno on Monday morning, November 28, 2022.

According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s office, the crash occurred around 8:00 a.m. at the Clovis and Shields Avenues intersection.

The deputy unit was reportedly responding to a code 3 call, traveling east on Shields Avenue when it was hit at the rear end by an SUV while crossing the intersection.

Both the K9 and the deputy were unharmed, while the SUV driver received on-site treatment after sustaining minor injuries.

Authorities conducted further investigation into what caused the collision.
