[12-07-2022] San Bernardino County, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash Injures Male Pedestrian in Fontana

An adult male pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Fontana on early Wednesday morning, December 07, 2022.

According to the Fontana Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:05 a.m. at the Cherry Avenue and Foothill Boulevard intersection.

The victim was reportedly struck by a dark-colored old model sedan. The car slowed down for a moment before leaving the scene on Foothill.

The male adult pedestrian was taken by ambulance to a nearby trauma center; his condition was not immediately known.

The initial inquiry lasted two hours as officers shut down the intersection. The investigation was subsequently turned over to the Fontana Police’s traffic unit.
