One pedestrian suffered a severe injury after a multi-vehicle collision in the South Bay on Wednesday morning, August 24, 2022.
According to the CHP, the collision happened just before 6 a.m. on southbound I-5 near E Street.
Callers reported that a silver Honda CRV was rear-ended, starting a chain reaction that involved up to four vehicles.
According to the CHP, at least one of the cars rolled and came to rest on its roof, but more information about the car was not immediately available.
It was evident from the video from FOX 5’s Commuter Carl that it was an older truck or SUV.
The authorities did not provide additional details, but at least one “major injury” was reported due to the collision.
