[09-04-2022] Tulare County, CA - Single-Vehicle Crash Killed One, Another Injured in TulareAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a Sacramento woman was killed, and her passenger was injured in a deadly single-vehicle collision in Tulare Sunday, September 4, 2022.

According to the authorities, the crash occurred just after 7:00 a.m. on Highway 99 just north of Avenue 152 in Tipton.

The 62-year-old woman didn’t know why, but she let her car drift to the left side of the road and tried to fix it too much, making it go the other way.

That sent her car up a hill and through a chain-link fence between Highway 99 and Thompson Road.

The driver was thrown out of the car when it flipped over. She wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, so she died right away.

A front passenger who was 40 years old and wearing her seatbelt was taken to Kaweah Health for her injuries.

The reason for the crash is still being looked into.

Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

The Department of Transportation sets road speed limits based on several factors. According to California Vehicle Code 22350, driving a car at a speed that puts other people or property in danger is illegal.

Most of California’s highways have a top speed limit of 65 miles per hour. On two-lane, undivided roads and for cars pulling trailers, the maximum speed limit is 55 mph unless it says otherwise.

The rest of the speed limits are “prima facie” limits, which means that, at first glance, they seem reasonable. The speed limit should be 15 mph in alleys, around blind turns, and at railroad crossings. It should be 25 mph in business and residential areas.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that car accidents cause 62% of fatal car accidents in California. If you drive in California, there are a few things you should be aware of that could lead to an accident.

A single-vehicle wreck can happen for several different reasons. Off-road accidents also called “runaway cars,” are more likely to happen when the driver is going too fast or making sharp turns on a wet road. The road was full of branches, and other things that trucks were driving had thrown.

Comprehensive insurance is more likely to pay for a single-car accident where neither you nor the other driver was at fault.

Even if it kills someone else, driving recklessly is still against the law, and almost no one who gets hurt in a car accident can ever go back to work or school. Accident victims whose deaths were caused by another driver’s carelessness can file a claim for “wrongful death.”
During depositions and trials, victims who lost loved ones have to testify in court while also dealing with the pain of remembering their past losses and pain. Unresolved legal problems could be harmful to people’s mental health.

You must act quickly to make a careless driver pay for a car accident. Someone needs to be held responsible when carelessness leads to too many deaths. Families who have lost a loved one may find it hard, but bringing a wrongful death claim could help them. This decision will have a significant effect on how people drive in California.
