[09-11-2022] A 33-Year-Old Man was Killed Following a Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident in Rancho BernardoAccording to the SDPD, a 33-year-old man was struck and killed while crossing a street after a hit-and-run accident involving a minivan in the Rancho Bernardo neighborhood on Sunday evening, September 11, 2022.

The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on the road close to 15500 Bernardo Center Drive.

According to SDPD, the driver struck the pedestrian and did not stop.

Local authorities took the man to a nearby hospital, but police say he died from his wounds. His identity remained unknown.

According to the authorities, the driver turned himself in at 1 a.m. on Monday at SDPD headquarters.

The authorities have not yet revealed the driver’s identity or potential charges.
