[09-18-2022] Fresno County, CA – Three People Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Cedar and Floral

The California Highway Patrol reported that three car accident victims were killed in Fresno on Sunday afternoon, September 18, 2022.

The CHP officers said the crash occurred just before 1:47 p.m. on Cedar and Floral.

According to police, an SUV was moving westbound on Floral at an unknown speed while a Ford flatbed truck was driving southbound on Cedar.

The officers say it was determined that the SUV ran the stop sign at Floral entering the intersection in the way of the truck, which resulted in their collision.

The Flatbed truck had the right of way because Cedar is uncontrolled.

The southwest corner of the intersection is where both cars flipped over and came to rest, where they were completely consumed by flames.

According to the authorities, one person was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries; sadly, the SUV’s occupants died as a result of their injuries.
