[09-19-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Driver and Child Seriously Injured After a Collision in the San Fernando ValleyA child was thrown from a BMW car, and the driver was trapped during a two-vehicle accident in the San Fernando Valley on Sunday night, September 19, 2022.

According to Brian Humphrey, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, the accident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. at 13952 W. Terra Bella street.

The child, whose identity was not yet disclosed, was ejected from the car. It was unknown whether the​​ child was secured in a car seat.

Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to extract the driver from the automobile. Both were critically injured and rushed to hospitals.

According to investigators, the BMW was T-boned by a Toyota Camry as it attempted to make a U-turn.

The crash is to be further investigated.
