The accident happened around 11:10 a.m. outside the Mountain View Public Library while the child was riding a training bicycle.

The sedan driver struck the man and the toddler as they crossed a driveway on the south side of the building.

The two’s wounds were minor, according to the police. They took the boy to a nearby hospital for more testing.

According to police, the driver stayed at the scene and assisted with the investigation.

Alcohol and drugs are not thought to have played a role in the collision, and no one was arrested.
