A male adult bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car in west Long Beach on Monday evening, January 30, 2023.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash transpired at 11:13 p.m. on Santa Fe Avenue and Willow Street.
The collision left the bicyclist, whose identity was not immediately available, with significant wounds to his upper body. He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, and his current state is unknown.
The male driver of the car that hit the victim was reportedly unharmed. The cause and circumstances leading to the collision are still being investigated.
It is currently unclear whether speeding, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the crash.
