[02-07-2023] Kern County, CA – Vehicle Struck and Killed One Pedestrian in Bakersfield

One person was fatally struck following a pedestrian crash in Bakersfield on Tuesday night, February 7, 2023.

Reports indicated that the collision transpired around 6:49 p.m. near South Union Avenue and Adams Street.

According to authorities, they were notified of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

Responders immediately rushed to the scene and confirmed that the victim had succumbed to their injuries.

Initially, this crash was thought to be a hit-and-run, but an officer said the driver left the scene, then returned and cooperated.
