Three people were fatally struck, and two others were severely injured after a two-vehicle collision in Orange Cove on Thursday afternoon, February 16, 2023.
Reports indicated that the deadly collision occurred around 2:10 p.m. at the South Hills Valley Road and Manning Avenue intersection on the border of Fresno and Tulare counties.
According to authorities, a maroon Honda van was traveling north on Hills Valley when it collided with a red Dodge truck traveling south.
Due to the impact, drivers and passengers in the van were killed. The victims were all men.
Three other people in the van were seriously injured, with one airlifted to a hospital.
Authorities closed the intersection while they investigated the collision.
The Orange Cove Fire Protection District was assisted at the scene by Cal Fire/Fresno County Fire, Tulare County Fire Department, and the Reedley Firefighters Association.
