[02-19-2023] Two People Killed in Fatal Crash Involving Train on East ConejoA man and a woman are dead following a collision with a train in Fresno County on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Officers responded just before 3:00 p.m. to a report of a vehicle colliding with a train on East Conejo and South Peach Avenues.

According to investigators, a man operating a sedan allegedly avoided the downed railroad crossing arms.

Shortly after, the car and a northbound train collided, killing the driver and the passenger instantly.

Police are unsure whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
