Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics
Automobile accidents are expected to hurt and kill more people in the United States than any other sort of mishap. Every year, almost 200,000 individuals are killed or badly injured in car accidents.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that a collision occurs every 60 seconds (NHTSA). Nearly 3,300 people were killed in car accidents in California in 2016. Human error causes more than 94% of all accidents.
According to the National Safety Council, one out of every ten people in the United States is killed in an automobile accident each year. Over 2,765,000 people were injured in car accidents in California in 2019. More than 23.5% of car accidents result in death and injury since 2013.
A multi-vehicle accident occurs when more than three vehicles collide. The wreckage from an automobile collision may entrap several vehicles.
Traffic accidents are less likely to result in fatalities, serious injuries, or property damage than multi-vehicle crashes. A lack of situational awareness and control may put those close to the situation at risk. It is more likely for such mishaps to occur most of the time.
