[04-06-2023] One Person Killed, Another Seriously Injured in San Martin Single-Vehicle CrashOne person was killed while another was seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in San Martin, Santa Clara County, on Thursday morning, April 06, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal solo car crash occurred just before 12:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 101’s southbound side, south of East Middle Avenue.

The investigation revealed that a 2000 Lexus traveling southbound on the highway’s far left lane veered out of control and overturned in the median before striking the metal guardrail.

The 72-year-old male driver from Del Rey Oaks was killed at the scene, while his 73-year-old female passenger was brought to the hospital with serious injuries. No further details were available on their identities and the passenger’s current state.
