What to Do After a DUI Accident

Large insurance companies typically defend claims involving accidents caused by drunk drivers. Remembering that the insurance company is never on your side is essential. Remember that the insurance company is looking out for its own bottom line before worrying about compensating you and your loved ones in full.

Insurance companies put a lot of money into training employees to look out for their customers’ best interests. After a severe collision caused by a DUI driver, the at-fault driver’s insurance company can contact you. You should never agree to something like that. They aren’t looking out for your best interests, so you can’t rely on them. We have compiled our top five pieces of advice for dealing with the insurance company after a DUI accident from our California DUI victim attorneys.

  • Never Admit or Accept the Blame
  • Do Not Make a Statement
  • Avoid Early Settlement Negotiations
  • Do Not Sign Any Documents
  • Work Through the Best DUI Accident Lawyer in California
