[04-20-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – Female Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in San Jose

A female pedestrian was killed after she was struck by a vehicle in San Jose on Thursday afternoon, April 20, 2023.

According to San Jose Police Department, their officers responded to the scene after receiving reports regarding a woman hit by a Chevrolet SUV on West Santa Clara Street and North 2nd Street at around 3:12 p.m.

Reports state that the driver was slowly reversing when they struck the woman crossing N. 2nd Street in an unmarked crosswalk.

She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and was stabilized. She was declared deceased on Saturday, April 22.
