[06-09-2023] Kings County, CA – Woman Died Following Two-Vehicle Collision Involving Freightliner Truck in Hanford

A woman died after her vehicle collided with a 2020 Freightliner in Hanford on Friday morning, June 9, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the westbound lanes of Kansas Avenue at around 7:40 a.m.

A 2019 Honda, driven by the woman, was heading eastbound on Kansas Avenue while a 2020 Freightliner was traveling westbound at 45-50 mph. The Honda strayed to the westbound lanes for unknown reasons, right on the Freightliner Truck’s path.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no information regarding the condition of the truck driver.

Drugs or alcohol were not considered to have contributed to this incident.
