[06-15-2023] Bicyclist Critically Injured in Moreno Valley Collision with VehicleA bicyclist sustained severe injuries following an accident involving a vehicle in Moreno Valley on Thursday evening, June 15, 2023.

Deputies from Riverside County Sheriff were dispatched to the intersection of Iris Avenue and Lasselle Street at 7:52 p.m. in response to the collision.

Upon reaching the scene, the deputies found the unidentified bicyclist on the ground with severe injuries. There were no reported injuries to the individuals inside the involved vehicle.

Cal Fire responders promptly provided immediate medical assistance, and the bicyclist was then transported to a nearby hospital, where they currently remain in critical condition.

Based on preliminary findings, it was determined that the bicyclist was traveling east on Iris Avenue and made a left turn onto northbound Lasselle Street, crossing the intersection.

Alcohol did not contribute to the collision; the investigation is still ongoing.
