[06-18-2023] At Least One Person Hospitalized After Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig in RodeoAt least one person was hospitalized after a fiery multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig in Rodeo, Contra Costa County, early Sunday morning, June 18, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fiery crash happened around 1:00 a.m. along Interstate 80 near Cummings Skyway.

A person was reportedly recovering in a hospital after sustaining unknown injuries. A big rig was found to have spilled diesel fuel after being punctured.

It is currently unclear how many people and vehicles were involved or if any others were injured.

Several lanes were closed to make way for the cleanup. Other lanes opened again as early as 3:00 a.m.

The authorities have not released further information about the fiery crash.
