A teenage girl was hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Santa Ana on Monday afternoon, July 10, 2023.
According to Santa Ana Police Department Sgt. Maria L., the incident occurred at 2000 W. 17th Street at around 2:40 p.m.
The girl was walking northbound as she crossed 17th Street when she was struck by the westbound vehicle on the same street. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The unidentified victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected to be a factor in this incident.
