[07-24-2023] Butte County, CA – Elderly Male Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Pickup Truck Collision in Oroville

A male pedestrian, estimated to be in his 60s, was hospitalized after a collision with a pickup truck in Oroville on Monday morning, July 24, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred right before their Oroville office at around 2:30 a.m.

According to the Oroville Police Department, the man was walking on the road when he was struck by a pickup truck for unknown reasons, pending an investigation.

As the victim was transported to the local hospital, he was conscious and had moderate to major injuries.

No information was released regarding the identities of the people involved or if the pickup truck’s driver remained at the scene.
