[07-27-2023] 1 Person Injured After DUI Driver Crashed Into House in Crescent CityA person was injured after a DUI driver crashed into their home in a stolen vehicle in Crescent City on Thursday evening, July 27, 2023.

According to California Highway Patrol officer Brandy G., the incident occurred at 9th Street and U.S. Route 101 around 11:04 p.m.

Jacob O., a 22-year-old man, led officers on a high-speed chase in a stolen Porsche until he lost control and crashed into the victim’s home. The vehicle was confirmed to have been stolen in Bandon earlier that day.

The unidentified victim was in the garage when the Porsche crashed into the house. It is unclear to what extent the victim’s injuries are, pending an investigation.

The charges against Jacob O. include vehicle theft, DUI with death and bodily injury, evading a peace officer, and extortion.
