[10-10-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Killed Following Collision with Caltrain in San Jose

A pedestrian was struck and killed following a collision with a Caltrain in San Jose on Tuesday morning, October 10, 2023.

Officials responded to reports of the incident around 6:29 a.m. along Monterey Road, north of Branham Lane, near Skyway Drive.

Reports indicate that there were 97 passengers on the train, and none of them showed visible injuries based on initial reports.

The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner is still working to determine the victim’s identity.

Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the cause of the collision and what factors were involved. Officials are urging anyone within the area at the time of the accident to contact them to assist with the investigation.
