[10-19-2023] Alameda County, CA – Mini-Van Involved in Big-Rig Collision Reported on Interstate 880 in Hayward

A mini-van was involved in a truck collision in Hayward early Tuesday morning, October 19, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 2:54 a.m. on southbound Interstate 880 after Highway 92.

A big rig collided with a minivan, leaving one occupant trapped inside. The number of occupants or injuries in both vehicles was not disclosed.

The highway connector ramp to the southbound interstate was temporarily closed. The authorities have not released further information regarding the cause of the incident.
