[12-03-2023] Santa Cruz County, CA – 34-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Vehicle Collision in Watsonville

A 34-year-old male pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Watsonville on Sunday night, December 3, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 10:40 p.m. on Airport Boulevard near Green Valley Road.

The 34-year-old Freedom resident was crossing Airport Boulevard when he was struck by a gray Toyota RAV4 driven by 29-year-old Alvaro L. from Watsonville.

Officials said the pedestrian was transported to Natividad Medical Center with major injuries. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending an investigation to determine what caused the crash.
