[12-06-2023] Fresno County, CA – 35-Year-Old Man Killed, Woman Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 180

A 35-year-old man was killed, and a woman was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash near Fresno on Wednesday morning, December 6, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 7:00 a.m. on Highway 180 and Hayes Avenue.

The man, identified as Stephen L., was driving a red Honda southbound on the avenue and ran a stop sign. He pulled directly out in front of a woman driving a silver Hyundai going westbound on the highway.

Hyundai collided with the Honda on its driver’s door, leaving the man dead on the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

No further details were released, and the investigation into whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision is still ongoing.
