[12-12-2023] Stanislaus County, CA – Two People Killed, Another Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle Collision in Ceres

Two people were killed and another was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Ceres on Tuesday evening, December 12, 2023.

According to the Ceres Police Department, the fatal collision happened around 8:15 p.m. between Hatch Road and Boothe Road.

A white Chrysler 300 and a blue Toyota Prius were found at the scene, with three occupants trapped inside.

The 36-year-old male driver of the Chrysler was believed to be heading eastbound when he swerved across the double-yellow lines and collided with the 64-year-old female driver of the Prius.

The 64-year-old Castro Valley resident was hospitalized in a serious but stable condition. Her passenger, an 89-year-old man, was declared dead, while the Chrysler driver was also pronounced dead in the hospital.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal collision for possible involvement of alcohol. Anyone with information is urged to call the authorities.
