[12-22-2024] 24-Year-Old Man Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on Highway 99A 24-year-old man from Lodi was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 99 near Armstrong Road in San Joaquin County late Sunday night, December 22, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. when the man, who was in the southbound lanes of Highway 99, was hit by a minivan.

Emergency responders arriving at the scene observed “obvious signs of death” and called for the coroner to respond.

The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding why the man was on the freeway.
