A pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 202 (West Valley Boulevard) near Cummings Valley Road in Tehachapi on Wednesday night, January 22, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:24 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene, temporarily closing the highway to allow a medical helicopter to land and transport the injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the current condition of the pedestrian is unknown.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the California Highway Patrol as the investigation continues.
