[05-19-2025] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle at Ontario and Consul Avenues Near Corona

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the El Cerrito area near Corona early Monday morning, May 19, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 2:48 a.m. at the intersection of Ontario and Consul avenues.

The pedestrian was hit by a white Toyota Yaris and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office was called to the location at 3:33 a.m. in response to the fatal crash.

Authorities closed Ontario Avenue in both directions near the crash site while the investigation was underway.

The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation by the CHP.
