What To Do After A Pedestrian Accident

Being involved in a pedestrian accident can be overwhelming, but taking the right steps afterward is essential for protecting both your health and legal rights. Hereโ€™s what we recommend:

  1. Collect Evidence

Take photos of the accident scene, your visible injuries, and any vehicle damage. Gather contact information from witnesses and note the circumstances of the accident. This evidence will be important for supporting your case.

  2. Document Your Memories

As soon as possible, write down everything you remember about the accident. Include details such as the driverโ€™s actions, weather conditions, location, and any other relevant factors. These notes will help preserve accurate information.

  3. See A Doctor

Even if you don’t feel injured, itโ€™s important to get a full medical evaluation. Some injuries, like internal damage or soft tissue injuries, may not show symptoms right away. A medical evaluation provides essential documentation for your case.

  4. Consult A Pedestrian Accident Lawyer

Contact an experienced pedestrian accident lawyer to discuss your situation. A lawyer can help explain your legal options, guide you through the claims process, and ensure your rights are protected.
