[07-30-2025] San Diego County, CA โ€“ Man Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle DUI Crash on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach

A 55-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries following a multi-vehicle collision in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego on Wednesday evening, July 30, 2025.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 5:51 p.m. in the 2300 block of Grand Avenue.

A 66-year-old woman driving a Nissan pickup was traveling eastbound in the number one lane, while a 32-year-old man in a Chevrolet Camaro was driving in the number two lane.

Police said the 55-year-old victim collided with the right rear of the Nissan pickup, and both vehicles then struck the rear of the Camaro. Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the crash.

The man sustained multiple serious injuries, including a compound arm fracture and fractures to his femur, tibia, and fibula. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
