[08-20-2025] Sutter County, CA โ€“ Woman Killed, Two Drivers Injured in Head-On Crash at Live Oak Boulevard and Eager Road

A woman was killed and two drivers sustained minor injuries in a head-on crash in the Live Oak area on Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Live Oak Boulevard and Eager Road.

Authorities said a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Live Oak Boulevard as a Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound. The Hyundai attempted a left turn onto westbound Eager Road, directly in front of the Honda, resulting in a head-on collision.

Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage. The driver of the Honda was transported to Rideout Hospital with minor injuries. The Hyundai driver also sustained minor injuries but declined transport. A female passenger in the Hyundai was taken to Rideout Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:56 p.m.

CHP confirmed that drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been factors in the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
