A man was killed and another sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision at a rural intersection near Kerman on Tuesday afternoon, August 26, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 4:57 p.m. at Goldenrod and Belmont avenues.
Authorities said a northbound Nissan Sentra ran a stop sign and entered the intersection, where it was struck on the right side by a westbound Toyota Tundra.
The impact sent both vehicles into a nearby field. The driver of the Nissan, an adult male whose identity has not been released, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The 54-year-old driver of the Toyota Tundra sustained minor injuries.
CHP confirmed that alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
