A man was killed after being struck by an SUV on Highway 74 near Betty Road in Good Hope, Riverside County, on Wednesday night, September 3, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 11:50 p.m. on the eastbound side of the four-lane highway.
Preliminary reports indicate the pedestrian stepped into the path of a 2021 Lexus RX350, driven by a 23-year-old woman from Fontana. The SUV struck the pedestrian with its right front fender, hurling him onto the roadway.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived within minutes and transported the victim to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The driver remained at the scene, cooperated with officers, and was not injured.
The identity of the pedestrian has not been released. CHP Temecula continues to investigate the crash.
