[09-15-2025] Los Angeles County, CA โ€“ Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle at Garvey Avenue and Central Avenue in El Monte

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in El Monte on Monday morning, September 15, 2025.

According to Sgt. Saenz of the El Monte Police Department, the crash occurred around 5:52 a.m. near the intersection of Garvey Avenue and Central Avenue.

The driver of a blue Kia sedan remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. It was not immediately known whether the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
