A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the shoulder of Old Redwood Highway near Windsor, Sonoma County, on Saturday afternoon, September 20, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:10 p.m. A northbound Range Rover drifted onto the right shoulder and struck the bicyclist, who was stopped just south of Shiloh Road.
The victim was transported to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he later died. The Sonoma County Coroner will identify him after notifying his family.
The driver of the Range Rover remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. CHP confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
